Your excellent description of what goes on around the scenes at Covent Garden's Royal Opera House (CM 1824 August), where the Jolyon Drury Consultancy is modernising—indeed revolutionising—scenery movement, missed out the reason for the choice of an M&G trailer. In order to avoid the cost of a trial run involving the building of an expensive powered rollerfloored trailer, Jolyon and Simon called on us to provide an unsupported roof curtainsider (so that the pallet could be fork-lifted out through the side if necessary) and had realised the potential of our Ride Rite suspension control system in conjunction with the tractor unit's air suspension to assist in the transfer of the pallet from trailer to loading bay and vice versa—in full view.
