FURTHER REPAIRS to the M54 Telford-Wellington motorway are due to start after Easter and will last well into the summer.
The road, which was opened to traffic in 1975, has been plagued by repairs for months.
The new work follows this month's completion of the first stage of repairs on the three miles of eastbound carriageway.
The Department of Transport has accepted a tender worth £390,000 for the second stage of repairs to the concrete carriageways between junctions five and seven.
They will last four and a half months and, the Department says, will be finished before the opening of the new stretch of M54 which will link the East Shropshire new town with the M6 later this year.
