AFTER securing a £375,000 contract with Unigas, Tankfreight part of National Freight, has extended its range of services into the gas market.
Unigas had been dependent on the major national oil companies for delivery of supplies, but in periods of shortage, service was unsatisfactory.
Last summer Tankfreight bought two continental tank semi-trailers and converted them to UK safety specifications.
Refinery access was negotiated with Conoco and current peak period deliveries to the Unigas filling plant in Suffolk are around 300 tonnes of gas a
week.
Two road tankers are hired out by Tankfreight, complete with driver, on a contract basis, leaving Unigas capital free for its expansion investment.
