CARTRANSPORT has bought seven Scania P82M 5.4m (17ft 6in) wheelbase, 4x2 chassis cab-based transporters, at a total cost of £364,000.
The vehicles, which are powered by the DSi8 172kW (231bhp) inter-cooled engine, have been mounted with LOHR 10/4 MV16 superstructures. The trailers are designed to carry up to eight cars.
Scanlink suppled the vehicles as replacements for seven of Car Transport's 16-strong fleet of Scania transporters, which will deliver Saab cars from its Immingham Import Centre to Saab UK dealer network.
