INTERNAL partitions within a trailer or trailer van must count as part of the load space, according to the Department of Transport.
Anxious to close a potential loophole in the regulation concerning the new 12.2m (40ft) trailer length, the DTp has confirmed that this dimension relates to the internal distance bet w e e n the front and rear partitions whether or not internal partitions or any other form of load restraint is fitted.
