• Detroit Diesel has entered a marketing agreement to supply engines for Kassbohrer coaches operating in Europe. Kassbohrer's three-axle Setra S215HDH Intercontinental unit is to be powered by a Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine.
The S215HDH is not sold in Britain but will be shown at the 54th International Truck and Bus show in Hanover, Germany in May with a 12.7-litre engine equipped with Detroit Diesel Electronic Controls (DDEC). The engine has been used by Kassbohrer in America since spring 1990. It is rated at 317/298kW at 1,800/2,100rpm (425/400hp at 1 ,8 0 0/ 2,10Orpm).
