ill Maintenance problems have led to the licence held by Kirkcaldy-based Thomas Muir (Haulage) only being renewed for one year, with a final warning. Scottish Traffic Commissioner Michael Betts was also only prepared to authorise 50 vehicles and 18 trailers, and not the 60 vehicles and 20 trailers which the company had applied for.
