Currently under construction near Banbury, the Granada services will have no separate LGV driver facilities, but will provide showers, two restaurants, overnight parking and an Esso forecourt.
Forte is opening a service area at Barn Hill, six miles south of Warwick, in autumn 1994.
New motorway service stations are also under construction on the Mll at Birchhanger near Bishop Stortford in Hertfordshire, opening in summer 1995, and on the M74 in Scotland.
Since deregulation of provision of motorway service areas last year more than 30 enquiries have been received and 16 planning applications are in the pipeline.
