• Thieves have escaped with nearly £1,000 worth of diesel in a raid on a transport yard at Skelton, near Penrith, Cumbria.
They stole 250 gallons of fuel from a storage unit on property owned by Lamb Beck last Tuesday night, then siphoned another 50 gallons from a truck which was parked nearby.
Police say another truck was probably used to remove the fuel.
