PALLETLINE SAYS IT delivered a positive financial performance for the 12 months ending 30 June 2010.
The pallet network's revenue rose 13.2% to £12.6m from £11.1m in 2009.
Despite a fall in pre-tax profit to £1.57m from £1.87m. the company says its reliability and strong customer service helped contribute to what it considers to be "a positive financial performance".
During the same period, substantial funding from Yorkshire Bank enabled the firm to acquire the freehold interest in the headquarters and central hub at Starley Way, Birmingham.
A number of new members also
joined the network over the year; including Cambridge-based Welch's Transport and Scottish logistics firm TP Niven Transport & Storage.
The Palletline directors report states: "[In the 2010/11 financial year] Palletline plans to focus on controlled growth with the emphasis on delivering the highest standards of quality through efficiency and innovation.
"Key to management of the risk of volume and revenue volatility is the tightest possible cost control, with a focus on value for money, combined with the maintenance of service quality and the continued development of additional revenue streams."
