• Britax has launched a range of replacement lamps for European trucks including Scania, Leyland Dal and Volvo. It includes rear combination clusters, auxiliary and marker lamps.
• A new British Standard for automotive diesel fuel has been published. BS EN 590:1995 replaces the 1993 version; it specifies requirements and test methods in CEN member countries. Copies cost 00.50 from HMSO.
• Fruehauf has opened two branches, at Avonmouth and Darlington. Both will stock parts for Fruehauf, ROR, York, SAF, BPW and many other makes of trailer equipment.
• lveco has produced its two millionth Sofirn diesel engine. The 2.5-litre engine has been in production for more than 10 years; it is currently used in the Fiat Ducat°, tveco TurboDaily, Renault Master and Messenger light commercials.
• Scania sold more trucks in the UK last year than ever before, registering 3,837. Its previous record was 3,641 in 1989.
