Stuart Oxley, 32, has been promoted chief engineer at Atkinson Vehicles' headquarters in Preston. Mr Oxley joined Atkinson in 1955 and after serving his apprenticeship as a draughtsman entered the company's sales department. He returned to engineering design in 1968 and the following year was appointed assistant chief engineer. Jeffrey Greenhalgh, 34, has been appointed managing director of Atkinson Vehicles (A'Asia) Pty Ltd in Australia. Harper, 26. has been appointed area traffic controller for Scotland, Containerway Europe Ltd. Mr Harper was previously assistant commercial manager for Scotland with Container Transportation Ltd.

John Lunch, 51, has succeeded Dudley Perkins, who has retired on medical advice, as director-general of the PLA. Mr Lunch has been acting d-g since September 1969. D. Grayson, 41. has been appointed manager director of Bristol Street Motors (Worcester) Ltd, Ford main dealer, and a member of the Bristol Street Group. Mr Grayson joined Bristol Street Group in 1969 as sales director and genera! mcnager of Air Gregory Ltd. Cllr. B. A. V. Kirk, vice-chairman of Nottingham City Council's transport committee, has been elected chairman of the Midlands area of the Association of Public Passenger Transport Operators and of the South Midlands area of the Federation of Municipal Passenger Transport Employers. O'Donnell, general manager of the Northampton municipal undertaking, continues as treasurer of both organizations.

integration of these companies having been completed. Mr Robinson is a director of Industrial and Commercial Corporation Ltd and other companies. Mr Masterton joined Brown Brothers in 1921 and is president of the Motor and Cycle Trades Benevolent Fund.

Harry Cox has been appointed outstationed staff officer for the Midland and North-Western areas, BRS Parcels Ltd. Mr Cox was previously staff manager, Morton's (BRS) Ltd.

Peter Grace, 42, has been appointed sales manager for Lubrication Equipment Ltd, Liverpool, manufacturer of the ALF chassis lubrication system. Mr Grace joined LET from the British Trailer Co Ltd earlier this year.
