• Peugeot is to extend the service intervals for its light vans. From 1 August intervals for diesel Partners and Experts will be extended from 6,000 miles/one year to 10,000 miles/two years. Petrol-engined Partners go from 9,000 miles/one year to 20,000 miles/two years. Operators can call into any dealership for a free, noappointment check midway between full services. The increased intervals are due to improved filtration, longer brake life and semisynthetic oils; Peugeot claims it will cut servicing costs by up to 25%.

VW has also introduced automatic and Syncro fourwheel-drive Transporters powered by the 2.5-litre TDI engine. All LTs bought before the end of the year come with free servicing for the first year and a free three-year warranty.
