A method of assembling spray/oven units at a repairer's premises has been evolved by Spraybake. All the panels and components for a complete unit are driven to the repairer's premises on a semi-trailer which forms a platform for building the booth.
The booth roof is jacked up above the trailer and the side and end pieces put into place. The trailer is then pulled away leaving the booth in a near-completed condition. The booth may be completed in four days, provided the site has been previously prepared to specification.
No under-floor water-wash, is employed and the extraction ducting is much smaller than with most booths. The operator has only to provide a flat concrete area with a simple channelling down the middle; drainage is not required.
The unit requires three-phase electricity and access to water supply.
