AS PART of the ongoing commercial restructuring of the MAN Group the truck components plant of MAN Nutzfahrzeuge at Peitzberg, south of Munich, will be under new ownership as from 1 July.
The factory, set up in the 1950s, will be renamed ACP-Automotive Components Penzberg GmbH with a0% holding by Ralf Simon, a senior executive of MAN, and 40% held by the former owner, MAN NF AG. A third partner is being sought for the enterprise, which will continue to supply parts to MAN assembly plants.
Almost 2,000 different parts are produced at Penzberg, which currently employs 700 workers. There are also plans to extend the plant's contribution to other automotive manufacturers.
