BARNSLEY bus dealer Paul Sykes Organisation has supplied second-hand Leyland Atlantean double-deck buses to a tot agency in Hong Kong.
The buses, which are ex-Nottingham Corporation low height Leyland Atlanteans, are about ten years old and have modified cooling systems incorporating a front radiator and air cooler.
Sliding windows and straightened springs have also been fitted and the Organisation hopes to demonstrate the vehicles to China Government officials while they are ;n service in Hong Kong.
Paul Sykes is also hoping to develop sales of modified n and rear-engined vehicles areas in Australia and the East where those vehicles an present said to be suffering fr overheating and ground cic ance problems.
The five Atlanteans join + ex-London Transport DMS-t+ Daimler Fleetlines destined City Bus, the independent vate hire bus company in Hc Kong and an ex-Bristol Omnil Bristol LH destined for China.
