ND is keen to expand its UK operations and Hargrave, which has over 120 drivers at its Spalding. Lines and Glasgow depots, is pursuing a buyer.
Hargrave will not comment on ND's interest, but a director eon firms that talks have been taking place with interested parties: "Things have been happening but we don't want an auction so we are not going to make an announcement about it," he say,.
Hargrave has been expanding to achieve a turnover of more than 1:16m with a fleet of 100 Leyland Dafs and 145 trailers. Norbert plans to increase rapacity by 13% this year through acquisitions.
