• In a bid to reduce the number of multiple pile-ups on motorways in fog, RoSPA has devised a simple code for drivers to follow when they encounter the hazard. Based on the word "Care", the code reads:—
C—clear windscreen A—all lights on
'R—reduce speed E—extra distance between vehicles.
