• A petition presented to Mr Justice Megarry at the Law Courts on Monday, for the compulsory winding up of Charles Poulter Ltd, a member of the Davis Group of companies, was held over pending the result of a previous appeal. A petition was presented by the Anglo-Israel Bank Ltd on August 18. It was stated that the Poulter company is in debt to the amount of £174,970.
