• J&M Kennie has put the UK's first Renault Kerax ax4 on the road. It's Fitted with Harsh Kl 10 tipping gear and a steel body built and fitted by D&B engineering at Barrhead.
• Citroen's Berlingo price has gone up by 2%. The 1.8D 600 now costs £8,300 (ex-VAT1—but the price of the C15 Champ, Dispatch and Relay ranges will be pegged for the rest of the year.
• Mitsubishi will launch a double-cab variant of its 1200 pickup at next week's London Motor Show. It will be aimed at the sports utility market as well as the commercial sector.
• Global Self Drive has taken delivery of 50 MAN 12000 7.5-tanners as part of an order for 130 trucks. Most have been bought through MAN Finance. They will be used for the firm's self-drive hire business throughout East Anglia.
• Mack's E7 MaxiCruise 330/350 engine has received a 1998 emissions certificate from the US Environmental Protection Agency—the first Class 8 powerplant to do so. Mack expects E-tech engines to help Renault meet Euro-3 emission standards.
