Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

WASTE FROM the Irish Republic, illegally dumped over the border at a Strabane landfill, Co Tyrone. has been linked to two other illegal dumping sites in the county.

Waste from Gorey and Waterford in the Republic was found at Strabane and at sites in Barr. 12 miles south-west of Omagh. and Cookstown.

The company which claimed to operate the Strabane landfill, Transforming Waste, is not registered as a company. Strabane Council and the North's Environment and Heritage Service say they have never heard of Transforming Waste, let alone granted it a waste disposal licence.

However, Strabane businessman Yinka Lawal, who runs Transforming Waste says: "We have an agreement to operate a landfill at Park Road Strabane."

Lawal is also director of AllIreland Environmental Solutions based at Bridge St, Strahane. Again, neither Strabane Council nor the Environment and Heritage Service are aware of this company's existence, and they have not issued any waste disposal licences.

Strabane residents say two Fermanagh-registered trucks dumped the waste.
