Fagan & Whalley was established in 1927 by father Sam Fagan and his sonin-law Thomas Whalley. The pair had a horse and cart and delivered around the local villages. The textile industry was booming in the region and the business developed around it.
Not long after it was founded, the company bought its first lorry and based it in the village of Haoton. The business remained in Hapton and largely operated around the textile industry until the late 70s.
The demise of the textile industry made Fagan & Whalley diversify at that time. Graham Fagan joined the business in the late 70s and is now operations director. His younger brother Stephen joined 10 years later and is now commercial director.
