ne service will be segregated from ional Carriers' other activities and employ 51 collection and delivery ides including Ford 1210 box vans tail lifts.
'ith headquarters in Leeds, the . -ieward service will concentrate on delivering parcels to private households from mail order and direct selling firms.
There will be branches at Falkirk, Gateshead, Leeds, Warrington, Birmingham, Bristol and High Wycombe.
Greenfield areas will be serviced by National Carriers' yellow Diamond service. The aim is an overnight service between main centres giving an average transit time of about two days.
