AT a sitting of the Yorkshire Traffic Commissioners at Dewsbury, last Friday, Messrs. Edwin Box and Sons, of Dewsbury, applied for permission to take over from Messrs. Joseph Crossley and Sons, of Dewsbury, licences for excursions and tours. Mr. Box said that negotiations for the acquisition of Messrs. Crossley's business by his firm had been in progress since early last summer, Adjourning the hearing, the chairman said that it must be supported by further information concerning Messrs. Crossley's business and, if possible, with figures prepared by an accountant.
An application by the Yorkshire Woollen District Transport Co., to take over various services operated by Messrs. Box was recently listed.
