• Scottish livestock haulier Henry Thomson & Sons has taken delivery of a rigid 8x4 Foden Alpha truck. It is fitted with the new XL sleeper cab from Charles Lawie Commercials of Aberdeen.
The cab should provide better living conditions for the driver who could be away from the depot for most of the working week and cover about 100,000 miles a year.
The truck is fitted with a 410bhp Cummins ISM diesel engine. Owner Henry Thomson, of
the Inverurie-based company, near Aberdeen. says the powerful engine combined with the XL cab should give the vehicle a better resale value. The company has a fleet of 20 vehicles and transports livestock throughout Scotland.
