• An American CargoMaster loading crane that can travel along the length of a trailer is now available in the UK through Liverpool-based Ryders International.
The gantry crane, revealed in CM (29 July-4August 1999), is built by Wayne Engineering Corporation. It can carry single loads up to 3,600kg from a loading bay or the ground to the front of a trailer along fitted rails.
All movements are controlled by a wanderlead and the crane is powered by the truck's battery.
