Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A IIIFFICULTY which might have arisen in connection with the new regulations bringing vehicles of 3-ton unladen weight within the " motorcar" class, has been averted, chiefly as the outcome of prompt action by Mr, J. L. Kinder, Assistant Director of . Associated Road Operators, The point arises in connection with the reserved age for drivers.

The driver of a " heavy motorcar" is reserved at the age of 25 years, • whereas the driver of a " motorcar " is not reserved until he has reached the age of 30 years. If that scheme' of reservation be strictly applied then a considerable nuniber of drivers now reserved at 25 years would be due for service if they were under 3Q years.

Mr. Kinder took this point up with the Ministries of Transport and Labour and has been informed that the reservation age of drivers will not be affected by the change. The necessary alteration is to be made to the schedule of reserved occupations.
