MILK lorry drivers have been granted exemption from the EEC eight-hour driving day.
On December 19, the European Commission decided to extend the exemption for a further 12 months. It applies to the transport of milk by road between farm and dairy (and vice versa).
Drivers in such work from January 1 may still drive for a maximum of ten hours a day within a two-weekly limit of 108 hours, and may aggregate their weekly rest days over a two-week period,
