THE NATIONAL Coal Board plans to use Tamplin Tip-Kits in an experimental development programme.
Tamplin Engineering, which converts standard skeletal semitrailers for tipping bulk containers, has re-designed the TipKit for demounting from a semitrailer on to a static support system on site, complete with a container load of coal. It can then be tipped and fed into the boiler.
The Tip-Kit will be mounted on a Craven Tasker semi-trailer, which will be modified to ease the demounting of both Tip-Kit and container.
