2IPED breathing has been introluced by Bendix for its heavy joods vehicle air-braking ;ystem, replacing the breather usp.
Conventional spring brake Hilts draw air from the atmosphere through the cap, which, in Dractice, is often lost.
Piped breathing will ensure that spring brake application draws air from a protected area, and this should give a longer spring life. Bendix is to absorb design costs within the existing price structure.
