Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

SOME people's dislike of lorries is no different from others' dislike °gumbo jets, spiders, or curry, according to the transport and distribution specialist group of the Institute of Management Services.

Group chairman Norman Allen, writing in an IMS newsletter, said: "I don't like lorries any more than the next man. I've been terrified by them on the motorways — insulted by some of their drivers — frustrated by their sheer bulk — and nauseated by their smoke.

"But all that means is that I've led a fairly typical life. Other people don't like motor-bikes, or jumbo jets, or dogs, or curry, or spiders," he added.

Mr Allen pointed out that the Government's White Paper on lorries, people, and the environment — the basis around which it wants to increase gross vehicle weight limits — and the current Transport Bill go a long way towards meeting many objections to lorries.
