WHAT is claimed to be the largest order for containers ever placed in Britain—an
export order worth £350,000 has been won by Thompson Trailmobile, of Gloucester.
Sales manager Mr. Ian Green said this week that he thought the container revolution was the most important in the shipping industry since steam replaced sails.
Mr. Green sato that by 1970 it was estimated that 300.000 containers would be in use in Britain.
