• Now well-established in the field of international haulage is the Yorkshire firm of Brian Watt Transport Ltd., whose headquarters are at Wath-upon-Dearne. near Rotherham— conveniently situated (in the "forkbetween M1 and M18 motorways) for unimpeded travel to the major ports of Europe.
It is just over two years since Brian Watt Transport undertook its first Continental assignment, and the company's TIR business has been built up rapidly since then. In fact, • for the last year, four of Brian Watt's vehicles have been undertaking haulage contract work from the UK to Western and Eastern Europe exclusively. During this period, these vehicles —three of which are Guys—have covered some 250,000 trouble-free Continental miles, under all kinds of road and weather conditions.
The Guys in the Brian Watt TIR fleet consist of a 26 tons g.t.w. Big J tractive unit and two Big J 22 tons g.v.w. six-wheeler rigid models. All three vehicles are powered by AV505 8. 19-litre six-cylinder diesel engines.
