• A haulier's appeal against an hours condition on its 0-licence has been dismissed by the Transport Tribunal.
Peter and Sally Oliver, trading as C&F Industrial, obtained a licence to work out of the Old Brickworks industrial estate in Pitsworth, Northants. But the Eastern Deputy Licensing Authority had attached a condition banning vehicle movements outside 08:00-18:00hrs and no movement at all was permitted on bank holidays. The Olivers argued that such restrictions would force them to use outside contractors which would not be in the best interests of the residents.
