Drivers working for the
temporary agency Manpower for at least a year are to be offered help with arranging mortgages.
Those qualifying from Manpower Driving's 5,000 vocational drivers will be able to apply for policies following the tie-up between Manpower and National Westminster Bank.
Manpower's drivers are classified as employed for tax purposes. The scheme follows difficulties reported by contract and temporary workers in obtaining longterm finance.
The company is also planning to introduce a pension scheme.
