the Leicester portion of the LondonYorkshire motorway was interfering with productivity and goods were not reaching the docks in time, claimed Sir Barnett Janner (Labour, Leicester North West) in the Commons last week. The result was that large orders were being lost. He asked Mr. Marples whether had a
received communication from Leicester Chamber of Commerce setting out these views, and asked why the Minister did not hurry up with the matter after seven years.
The Minister's reply that he had nothing new to say was described as " shocking " by Sir Barnett, but Mr. Marples emphasized that be had to follow the procedures laid down by Parliament.

DUE to the growth of the Tecalemit group of companies, Tecalemit, Ltd., has become a holding company only, providing financial, technical and general administration services for all the companies within the group.
A new company, Tecalemit (Engineering), Ltd., has been formed to carry out all of the manufacturing, engineering and selling activities previously conducted by Tecalemit, Ltd. The following have been appointed to the board of directors of Tecalemit (Engineering), Ltd.:— Mr. S. G. Gates, C.B.E., chairman; Mr. P. R. Scutt, managing; Mr. T. R. Hardman. sales; Mr. J. E. Drinkwater, production; Mr. H. E. Jackson, engineering; Mr. P. N. Nicholas, secretary; Mr. A. D. N. Priestley, chief accountant.
