Reach for the sky
his chap's obviously got a head for heights. He's perched on top of Facelift's 28m-reach Bronto S28 rough-terrain high-level panel access plat . .„ form. It's said to be the only one of its type in the UK and has been hired by Cathedral Works of Chichester as part of a struc tural survey for Railtrack on the 156-year-old Ouse Valley viaduct at Balcombe near Hayward's Heath, West 'IN, Sussex. It carries the main London to Brighton line and Railtrack is splashing out £6m to renovate the 420m long, 37-span, 30mhigh stone and brick arch viaduct. The restoration work should be completed by the end of 1999.
Very commendable, but I tell you, you wouldn't get the Hawk up there!
