ALARGE volume of fuel-injection equipment was being shipped to the U.S.A. by Simms Motor Units, Ltd., said Mr. G. E. Liardet, chairman of Simms Motor and Electronic Corporation, Ltd., in his annual report. Simms Motor Units were fully tooled up for production of a hand starter for oil engines, and many applications of the company's turbocharger had been approved by engine manufacturers. Factory assembly of these units had started.
M.E.C. Transmissions, Ltd., another subsidiary of the corporation, were developing a constant-velocity universal joint for vehicles, and held manufacturing rights for the Baldwin brake booster which was standard equipment on a number of Continental vehicles.
