• Parcels carrier Lynx has won a £250,000-a-year distribution contract with Oxfordshire-based miniexcavator manufacturer Kubota. Lynx takes over the open-ended contract from UPS.
Salvesen Logistics has won two major contracts with paper maker Kimberly Clark following the company's merger with Scott. Salvesen has been awarded three-year contracts at the Barrow-in-Furness and NorthFleet paper mills; the Thames operation continues on a one year rolling contract.
• Swift Services, the industrial division of Salvesen Logistics, has been awarded a two-year national distribution agreement with medical goods supplier Beiersdorf.
Thompson Jewiit
International, the freight forwarding division of UCI Logistics, has secured a warehousing contract worth over Val with Dutch firm Prinsen. The deal will run for an initial two years but is likely to be extended.
Lynx Express has extended its £1m European distribution/collection contract with ERF. Lynx now runs a weekly component collection service for suppliers in Germany and deliveries to ERF dealers in France and Spain via its shared user network.
Westbury-based Merlin Distribution has renewed a three-year contract with Suzuki GB for the distribution and warehousing of around1,000 motor cycles a month.
