INDIAN BUS ORDERS: An order for 100 Leyland Comet bus chassis worth over £280,000 has been placed with Ashok Leyland, Ltd., of Madras, by .Kerala State Transport. They will have 42-45-stater bodywork fitted at the central workshop in Trivandrum. The Himachal Pradesh Transport Department has also placed an order With Ashok Leyland, Ltd., for eight Comet bus chassis, and three Comet bus chassis have been ordered by Punjab Roadways.
NOT ALL M.C.W.: In last week's issue of "The Commercial Motor" it was said that the A.E.C. chassis ordered by Devon General were to have bodies by Metropolitan-Cammell-Weymann,Ltd. We have been advised that while this is true in the case of the 1.5 Regent Mk. V chassis, no decision has been reached regarding the bodies for the seven Reliances.
