THREE new Pik° hand lamps are now readily available. Two are selfcontained units and carry their ' own batteries, the third is a hanging light and is supplied with a .length of two-core cable and bulldog clips for connection to a vehicle battery.
Both the self-contained lamps—they are called the Senior and Junior Safety Lanterns—are similar in design, the-main difference being in the size of the battery case: The Senior has a 6-v. lantern battery, while the Junior has a smaller case to take four single-cell batteries.
Carrying handles are fitted directly to the battery cases to which the 3+-in.diameter light units are also attached— through brackets on which. they can pivot. Both lamps incorporate a red flashing light which can be raised when required. This is mounted on an arm
pivoted at the front of the handle and forming part of it when lowered. The two lights are operated independently. The Senior costs El 8s. 10d. and the Junior, 15s, Id. These prices include batteries.
The third lamp is called ' the iVlotorlite. It incorporates a red
flashing light and a white floodlight mounted above and below the lamp body respectively. The lower light is protected by a wire guard which also acts as a stand. The Motorlite is 8 in. high and 3+ in. ,in diameter. It costs 15s., complete with approximately eight yards of electric cable.
