• Tiltec of Barking, has received orders for 16 of its new 13.2m Loadfast curtained semitrailer design from the newstrade.
The semi-trailer, with roller floor, outside sliding pillars and pneumatic expanding rear door frame, can discharge 22 tonnes of paper reels in under a minute without the rear-end damage problems previously encountered on conventional curtainsiders.
Each trailer has raise/lower air suspension and a novel rear king pin that secures to a loading bank for accurate positioning.
Some soft drinks manufacturers are also considering the new design.
