GV drivers no longer want to be known as truckers because they are fed up with their cowboy image, according to a survey by truckstop operator Granada.
In future, truck drivers will be referred to simply as 'drivers', says Granada, adding that "the term 'truckers' is, in many cases, an insult to those people involved in the business of hauling road freight".
Granada is opening new service areas on the M4 and M25 and it is relaunching the M5 Frankley services this summer.
