SYNTHETIC excitement is being generated about the demise of the Leyland Fleetline rearengined double-decker. KL Automotive Products, which is interested in the heating system, speaks of the "glory of having the last Fleetline on the road."
Southend Transport thought it was thus honoured but two more Fieetlines have since been built for the South Notts Bus Co. Leyland is prolonging the suspense and will release the celebrated lead balloon when the proper time comes. I can hardly wait.
