SIXTY Leyland Royal Tiger 44-seat service buses have been ordered by Ribble Motor Services, Ltd. The vehicles will be 30 ft. long and 8 ft. wide, with a front overhang of 6 ft 6i ins.
A modified method of seat construction will afford greater leg-room, and the buses will be equipped with electrically operated double-entrance doors controlled by a push-button in front of the driver. The entrance will be at the front.
Tecalennit Syndromic lubrication will be incorporated in the chassis. This equipment is also being fitted to 120 Leyland luxury coaches now being built for Ribble,
