There were 55 summonses for running vehicles without a licence between Septembur and December, 1950, ten for running vehicles beyond 15 miles of Bilston, one for not keeping records, and one for not producing them.
For the prosecution, Mr. Stephen Brown said that Baker had held a B licence to operate within a 15-mile radius of Bilston. In October, a police officer noticed one of the lorries in Aldridge, Walsall, without a carrier's licence. Investigations were pursued

The magistrate complained to Mr. Brovm about the presentation of the case. "There is a vast mass of summonses, very many of which duplicate themselves," he said.
