Progress Report: A 55-channel wall chart has been produced by Shannon, Ltd., New Malden, Surrey. Strips of coloured plastic slide over each other so that if one strip is moved to denote an increase in sales, for example, correspondingly less is shown by the lower strip denoting stocks.

Preserving Wood: Detel Products, Ltd., Victoria Park Estate, South Ruislip, Middlesex. have introduced a new chemical wood preservative based on pentaehlorphenol. It can be used without risk of swelling or shrinking wood, it is claimed, and final coats of paint or varnish can be applied.
