THE ARTICLE in CM about th Sentinel steam wagon, which have just read, brought bac happy memories. This vehicL was coal-fired and its tank cat ried enough water for 15 miles Trailers were issued for use oi town water hydrants, but fo journey work it was a case c finding a handy pond or river.

Some transport manage' would say, "But our goods at on pallets", and forget that thE had told the drivers to bring th empty pallets back, or use ther for a return load, so they had 1 discharge them in any case.
