Tracing its lineage back to the original van range of 1975, the LT cab stepped up into a heavier league when it was used on the MAN G range of 6.5- );•1 tonners to 10-tonners in 1979. By 1986 Paccar was using the cab for Kenworth (pictured) and Peterbilt Mid Ranger two-axle rigids and distribution tractors in the USA, and Kenworth's Australian factory was producing the K300 23-tonne six-wheeler in the mid-1990s.Steyr took the cab for its 6-tonne to 8-tonne offerings, and it also appeared on Spanish vehicles with Pegaso badges. Raba vehicles featured the LT cab too, using it for its middleweight 4x4 military trucks. It was in Brazil, though, that this design reached its zenith with Volkswagen's Brazilian heavy truck division, where it was used on Titan maximum capacity tractor units. It is still used on Worker models up to 45 tonnes GCW.
