Daf Trucks, Imperial Commercials and MAN Truck & Bus have made it into this year's Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers List. Launched last year by the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS), the rankings recognise the work of organisations that deliver high-quality training.
Daf employs 230 apprentices, having trained 400 over the last five years, and has a dedicated facility at the City of Bristol College. It has an annual Apprentice of the Year and graduation ceremony.
Imperial Commercials has offered apprenticeships for the past 50 years, with 42% of its skilled workforce being ex-apprentices. It has 12 apprentices across four of its dealerships, and claims the cost of a three-year apprenticeship programme delivers 167% return on investment.
Over the last five years MAN has trained 146 apprentices in a range of frameworks including business administration, engineering and manufacturing. It employs 85 apprentices.
